How does the free media player work?+
When you activate a new yearly license, we ship a media player (currently the TX9 TV Stick) for each new screen at no extra cost, with free shipping to the US and Canada. It's yours to keep as long as your subscription is active. The free TX9 is strictly for new license activations only: it does not apply to existing licenses, renewals, or accounts migrating from our legacy Signage Studio platform (including Signage Droid Z5 users). Existing customers migrating from Signage Studio / Signage Droid Z5 keep their licenses and can add the TX9, please contact us for discounted pricing.
What warranty does the TX9 TV Stick come with?+
The free player comes with a new yearly subscription and carries a 1-year hardware warranty from the ship date, the same warranty as a purchased player. After the first year the warranty ends, so if the TX9 becomes faulty the customer needs to purchase a replacement player.
Is shipping free?+
Yes. Shipping is free to the United States and Canada on every TX9 TV Stick, whether it's included free with a new yearly license activation or purchased for $50 with a quarterly plan or a migration.
What's the difference between quarterly and yearly?+
Both plans are $8/screen/month. Quarterly is billed every 3 months for flexibility and the TX9 is a $50 one-time purchase (free shipping). Yearly is billed annually and includes a free TX9 TV Stick per screen (a $50 value each), also shipped free.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Quarterly plans can be cancelled at the end of each 3-month term. Yearly plans run for 12 months. There are no cancellation fees.
I'm an existing Signage Droid Z5 customer: do I get a free player when I migrate?+
No. The free player is strictly for new license activations. Existing customers migrating from Signage Studio / Signage Droid Z5 keep their licenses and can add the TX9, please contact us for discounted pricing. Any brand-new yearly licenses you activate still qualify for a free TX9.
Which media player do I get, and can the model change?+
Today the included player is the TX9 TV Stick. If a model is out of stock or discontinued, we ship a current-generation player of equal or better capability instead, running the same Sign Studio software with the same 1-year hardware warranty. Your license, pricing, and free US/Canada shipping stay the same.

Yes, networks with 50+ screens qualify for Enterprise pricing with custom terms. Contact our sales team for a tailored quote.

How much does digital signage cost per month?+
E Display digital signage software is $8 per screen per month, flat, on both quarterly and yearly billing. There are no feature tiers, so 60+ apps, templates, scheduling and support are included at that rate. A single screen is $8/month ($96/year); ten screens are $80/month ($960/year). Yearly licences also include a free media player per new screen, shipped free in the US and Canada, so year one is still $96 per screen all-in on the software and player.
Is there free digital signage software?+
Some vendors offer a free single-screen tier, and open-source options like Xibo are free to license but you pay for hosting, setup and maintenance. Free plans are usually limited to one screen with fewer apps, no design help and community-only support. E Display has no free tier: it's $8 per screen per month with every feature included, plus a free media player on new yearly licences, which is normally cheaper than a free plan once you add hardware and your own admin time.
What does a full digital signage project cost, not just the software?+
Software is $8 per screen/month, but the total project also includes a display ($495–$600 for a 43" commercial panel), a media player (free on yearly plans), mounting or installation ($0 DIY to $350 per screen), and optional content design ($0 with templates, $200 per custom layout).
