- What are digital signage apps?
- Digital signage apps are components you add to a screen layout, such as weather, social content, a calendar, a clock or a data feed. Sign Studio combines third-party integrations with built-in design, playback and interactive components.
- Are the apps included with E Display?
- Sign Studio apps are included with E Display software at $8 per screen per month on quarterly or yearly billing. Some third-party services may require their own account, permission or subscription.
- Can I use several apps on the same screen?
- Yes. Build a scene with multiple zones and layers, combining components such as a menu, a clock, weather and a QR code in one layout.
- Can I update screen text from a spreadsheet?
- Yes. The Google Sheets component connects scene labels to spreadsheet cells, so menus, prices and directory text can be updated from the sheet.
- Do live apps need an internet connection?
- Live feeds and externally hosted content need internet access to refresh. Cached media can continue playing offline, but a third-party feed should not be assumed to stay current during an outage.
